CASL announces it has joined the Association of Litigation Funders of Australia (ALFA) as its newest member. 

Stuart Price, Chief Executive Officer of CASL said “It is vital the litigation funding industry and more importantly those that need support from the litigation funding industry to access the legal system, has a strong unified voice to governments, legislators, regulators and other policy makers.”

ALFA was established in 2018 and has been highly active in the 2019 ALRC and 2020 PJC inquiries into class actions bringing the focus to a balanced debate supported by empirical evidence.

Mr Price said “the DNA of ALFA runs strong in CASL. In 2018, John Walker and Stuart Price were the drivers behind the establishment of the Association and since 2020, Pip Murphy has been ALFA’s Chief Executive Officer. CASL joining ALFA is further demonstration of our commitment to continuous development in the best standards of governance.”
