Cochlear Class Action

CASL is supporting a shareholder class action against Cochlear Ltd (ASX: COH), conducted by Echo Law. 

The proceeding is brought on behalf of investors who acquired an interest in Cochlear securities between 15 August 2025 and 21 April 2026 (inclusive), and alleges that Cochlear contravened continuous disclosure and misleading conduct laws. 

Broadly, the claim alleges that Cochlear’s FY26 earnings guidance and related market disclosures did not adequately reflect a range of matters affecting the expected performance of its business, including slower growth in key hearing healthcare markets, declining consumer sentiment in the United States, and challenges associated with the rollout of Cochlear’s Nucleus Nexa implant system in the United States and Germany.

Compensation is sought on the basis that these matters affected the achievability and reliability of Cochlear’s FY26 earnings forecasts and market guidance, with the result that investors paid more for Cochlear securities than they otherwise would have.

The proceeding is at an early stage and investors who fall within the group member definition are not presently required to take any action. Any Court-ordered registration or opt out deadline will be communicated in due course.
